Peaceful poems, finding inner peace - John Lennon in my life. | |||||||||
WALKING WITH JOHN LENNON Walking by the beach I imagined John Lennon Walking by the beach I talked to John Lennon Hey old friend glad you dropped by for a while Walking by the beach I remembered old friends Walking by the beach I talked to John Lennon So tell me ... He said nothing just smiled His arm around Yoko he walked along silently His arm around Yoko he said, I love you She looked up said nothing just smiled Glad you found peace old friend Walking by the beach I saw John Lennon Yoko was with him I imagined old friends felt peace for a while I know it's just my fantasy my own land of dreams But man, I love you too I do I know it's just my fantasy my own land of dreams But man, I see you, I do and I too love you I wish you well, old friend time and time and time again Rockstar popstar man I've dreamed of from afar man with terrors of his own man like me sometimes alone I know it's just my fantasy my own land of dreams But man, I love you too I do Walking by the beach I imagined John Lennon Walking by the beach I talked to John Lennon and felt peace for a while

FROM
WORDS TO Every now and then I've found people to do a piece or two with. Most were doing their own thing, and after a bit continued their own way. In this case the two were Ed Deigan and Yves Laporte. For this song, I heard a riff, and listening to the riff, "heard" this song. It's the song of a man who had loved John Lennon for a long time - his music and what he stood for. I was lucky enough to find musicians - Yves Laporte who arranged the piece and Ed Deigan - vocals, bass guitar, guitar, recording and initial mix. This
piece is definitely a song. The words can be spoken, but in my head
they are sung.
