OVERVIEW

In my own,
      my chosen home 

Where is my match
     so the fire can catch 

Every day I'm going
  into the day not knowing
    who is this person I call me 

The Rottweiler Pope,
  a Danish Cartoon,
     and Muslim Moderates 

I feel the echo of the echo
     of your touch
          It isn't much 

White chocolate
      and hot fudge sauce
What in the world
      am I thinking of? 

The dog next door
      wants to move in.
Animal rights,
      human rights -
           who's right? 

Don't waste my time
     It's all that's mine
Don't hold me close
     Just to be kind 

Let our loving, my dear
     touch more than the skin
Feel the warmth
     the love and the warmth
           within

Welcome into my World

My father feels
so alive to me -
most of all
when I see
this photo,
taken just
a few months
before his death.

So much creativity,
so much drive
and talent -
and yet somehow
without the luck
or the inner
resources to find
a home
for his works.

Creative magic!

I want at least
some of his works
to come alive here.
To come alive -
meaning,
to reach people,
because that's how
creative works
become most alive.

One of the greatest things,
for me, is reaching people.
And one of the greatest things
about the web is that
it can be a place
for many people
to reach each other.
Hope you've gotten
something from my works.

This is the place
where the words,
"in my own,
my chosen home"
came to me.
They came right after
I'd had friends over
for the first time -
for a whole weekend of work
on a creative project.
So in a deep way,
my home only became
my home
after I had shared it.

In a similar way,
like so many of us,
to be fully at home
in my life,
I need to share
my ideas,
stories,
music,
songs,
images
with you -
and I need to hear
from you.
Your ideas,
your creativity.
Contact, sharing,
exchange,
interchange.
Flourishing
from deep inside
through
the interchange.

That's why, in fact,
I'm just now
(July 2007)
in the process
of building
a web home space
for many
creative people.
A place
for their works.
A place
to meet
other
creative people.
And
a "creativity match"
space,
where people
can try
to find a match
to complete
pieces.

My father
would have loved this site,
and would have loved
to be part of it.

He would also have loved
a site of his own -
so much written,
so many experiences
vividly alive in his writings,
so little out in the world.

In the meantime,
this is a big messy site,
so many facets
just coming together -
with room for him
as well as me.
The barrier now has been
time - so much to do.
And so I tell him
in my head,
wait, as you waited
so long in your life
for someone to come
and give you a hand,
do what you could not do,
find a way of getting
your works into the world.
