The Idea Emporium
FROM KAMA SUTRA TO COGNI SUTRA
Everyone knows of the Kama Sutra, famous worldwide for extolling sexual positions of all kinds, positions limited only by the limits of the human body.
Then there's ... Cogni Sutra - the joy of complex passionate intense cogitation, of in-depth penetrating cognitive cerebration. Cogni Sutra, for the cognoscenti of good thinking. Never omniscient. There's always more - more variations, more excitement, more enticing directions and possibilities - and more satiation.
The Cogni Sutra. Limited? Not limited by the limits of the human body to contort and twist.
The Cogni Sutra. Ever expanding, ever
varying. Limited only by the limits of the human mind. Often the new vistas are less contorted, less convoluted. Good thinking often means seeing simple underlying structures - as Copernicus and Galileo saw the simple, the earth's simple rotation around the sun, rather than staying with the religiously rigidly believed prexel twists and turns of the sun and planets revolving around the earth.
The Cogni Sutra.
Clarity, simplicity - and yet complexity - like the complexity and simplicity of DNA.
The Kama Sutra - where details include how to find the G-Spot. The Cogni Sutra - way more than one good thinking G-Spot, way more than one way of coming to a good thinking flow. But as with the physical G-Spot, good thinking G-Spots are for those who engage in thinking, revel in thinking, who find ways to penetrate to areas left unsearched by most.

Cogni Sutra. No one's knocking the Joy of Sex, the joy of music, the joy of cooking, the joy of knitting. No one's discounting the pleasures of gardening, of yoga, of whistling in the dark. There's even the joy of stress, the joy of Jesus, the joy of travel.
But let's face it.
Cogni Sutra. Bliss and intensity. Striving and arriving. Creating and perceiving, piercing through to ever further insights and deeper good thinking. The Joy of Thinking.
The joy of travel? Few travels have taken us further than Cogni Sutra. In fact, the travels of the body happen because of the travels of the mind, yearning to go further, reaching for the beyond, imagining and thinking about what is beyond the seen - and also creating ever more modes of travel.
The joy of thinking incorporates but goes beyond the joy of learning. The joy of learning: someone else's thinking opens up our mind. Skills, information, ideas. We grow with learning - such a pleasure.
The joy of thinking - it's something more. It's with thinking that we make learning our own. We think things through. We chew on things, we digest or get indigestion. We figure things out.
What's cooking with Cogni Sutra? What's steaming, what's brewing, what's stewing? One never knows. Permutations and combinations - ever changing recipes for perceiving, for making sense of what's coming in. Inspiration comes. Inspiration goes. The trail of ideas leads ever further.

The Cogni Sutra - a sutra for the
thinking cognoscenti, for the cognitively attuned, our synapses eager and ready for the heady influx of more thought.

For thosse who don't know Cogni Sutra, how to convey its pleasures, its force? The Zone and Nirvana come to mind.
****
The Zone.
Athletes speak of getting into it. Way past the Groan Zone, it's going with the moment, flowing. It comes from training and expertise, but is also apart from them. One inhabits the moment. One doesn't dance or ski. One is the dancing, the skiing.
So it is in the Cogni Zone. Wormholes may pull us into other galaxies. We don't know where the flow may take us. We may be pulled along for years. We may be left high and dry, not sure where to go next.
As with athletes and dancers, we draw on all our learning, every theory and fact and factoid. But then something happens. Magic. We think where we haven't thought before. And from that thinking go even further.
****
Nirvana, oneness with the universe.
With meditation, people are supposed, eventually, to be able to reach a sense of oneness with the universe.
With Cogni Sutra, we likewise sometimes have the sense we're glimpsing the universe, or at least that a corner of it is suddenly clear. The clarity may fade - but from the glimpse we know where we're pulled to go next. We may catch more gimpses, build on them, also draw on everything else life has to offer. Complexity.
We may also come upong other glimpses of quite different parts of the universe.
I'm thinking of one big research project. And then suddenly being drawn to another. And then from the first coming upon another direction.
My image now is of a hiker, reaching ever higher terrain, seeing more and more of the ground around her.
Not Mount Everest - cold and not welcoming to human intrusion. A high plateau, where miles and miles are clear.

What can come from hitting a Good Thinking G-Spot, having a glimpse of a corner of the universe?
This can lead to years of research.
In a way, G-Spot Thinking is not like sex. Flash - maybe quite a ong intense set of flashes - and it's over.
G-Spot thinking breakthroughs often come from a long time of thinking, searching, researching - and often lead to years and years of further thinking, work, research.
****
The best of Cogni Sutra thinking is like falling in love. Sometimes it's only a flash, a brief infatuation with an idea or perception that fails to keep our interest. Sometimes it's like finding the missing pieces of the puzzle of life. It gives our life meaning. It isn't received wisdom, but vibrantly alive creation. We become more complete as we complete a good thinking project.
Like with falling in love, people differ. Some are never able to make long time commitment, to live with intensity and passion and also the daily times of keeping going.
For others, that first G-Spot flash of insight, revelation, realization is
is just the beginning. We may go on for years, waking up with the urge to get going, keep going, our desire and andrenalin flowing. We get stuck, but we know we want to work it out.
Sometimes, though, like with love and sexual desire, we may know things are over. Maybe they were great while they lasted. Maybe they were even fantastic. But now something else pulls us.
Unlike with love which often leads to all kinds of legal stuff like matrimony, here we're more likely to be able to move on without lawyers. Though if our passionate thinking has led to work and research, it may be pretty complex to
shift directions.
If we stay, if we don't acknowledge what has happened, we may be able to make it work, sticking with the old stuff, repeating or rehashing or maybe finding some new corner - and maybe finding a re-ignition of the flame - or we may always know that some other project is calling us, puling us.
Cogni Sutra.
We may have several loves - and that's fine. It can be more like loving childen than loving a partner.
Fine to love more thna one - though each may pull at us, wanting to be the one and only.

The Idea Emporium
- why and what
When we find a pleasure, treasure a pleasure, it can be hard for us to fathom how this pleasure is undiscovered by so many. The Good Thining G-Spot - when thinking flows. Coleridge, ages and ages ago, in an opium dream, wrote of (this is from memory)
Kubla Khan, in caverns measureless to man,
where Alph the sacred river ran ...
For me good thinking is sacred, an amazing blessing -
and measureless.
